ADJECTIVE (INTERMEDIATE)

Definition:

An adjective is a word that describes the quality, quantity, number, or condition of a noun or pronoun.

Types of Adjectives

1. Quality Adjective

Describes the quality of a noun.

Examples:

Beautiful, Honest, Brave, Clever

Sentence:

She is an intelligent student.

2. Quantity Adjective

Shows the amount or quantity.

Examples:

Some, Much, Little, Enough

Sentence:

I have enough money.

3. Number Adjective

Shows the number or order.

Examples:

One, Two, First, Second

Sentence:

He has two brothers.

4. Demonstrative Adjective

Points out a noun.

Examples:

This, That, These, Those

Sentence:

This book is interesting.

5. Possessive Adjective

Shows ownership.

Examples:

My, Your, His, Her, Our, Their

Sentence:

My pen is blue.
