ADJECTIVE (EXPERT)

Definition:

An adjective is a word that modifies a noun or pronoun by giving information about its quality, quantity, number, possession, or identity.

Classification of Adjectives

1. Adjective of Quality

Examples:

Honest, Intelligent, Beautiful, Strong

2. Adjective of Quantity

Examples:

Some, Much, Little, Enough

3. Adjective of Number

Examples:

One, Five, First, Last

4. Demonstrative Adjective

Examples:

This, That, These, Those

5. Possessive Adjective

Examples:

My, Your, His, Her, Our, Their

6. Interrogative Adjective

Examples:

Which, What, Whose

Sentence:

Which book do you want?

7. Distributive Adjective

Examples:

Each, Every, Either, Neither

Sentence:

Each student received a certificate.

Tall

2. Comparative Degree

Taller

3. Superlative Degree

Examples

Ram is tall.

Shyam is taller than Ram.
